More Pop-Up Testing in Lanark County this Week

Building on the success of local pop-up testing last week, paramedics from the Lanark County Paramedic Service will once again be performing  COVID-19 testing at pop-up (temporary) testing centres in Carleton Place on Wednesday, September 30, and in Perth on Friday, October 2.  (Perth, ON) – With the start of school and people returning to work, the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with other detachments province-wide, have been inundated with requests for criminal record checks.

Pop-Up COVID-19 Testing this Friday in Perth

A number of local health agencies have been working together to deliver services at the COVID-19 Assessment Centres in Lanark and are planning several options to increase capacity for testing in the area.

School Bus Stop Arm Camera

The province has recently introduced regulations governing the school bus stop arm camera programs. A school bus stop arm camera is a recording device that takes pictures of a motor vehicle that illegally passes a school bus while the school bus is stopped.

This new regulation allows municipalities to use evidence from camera systems in court without requiring witnesses.
