Media Release - Almonte COVID-19 Testing Clinic Moves to New Location

The COVID-19 Testing Clinic in Almonte has moved to the Octagon Room, located at Almonte General Hospital. This new location offers an indoor testing space for patients.  The Testing Clinic is open daily for pre-booked appointments. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms can make an appointment by calling 613-325-1208. Messages are retrieved from the answering machine from 8 am to 3:30 pm each day. A scheduler will call back to book an appointment. No walk-in patients can be accommodated.

Inspection Blitz Helps to Prevent Spread of COVID-19 and Keep Workers and Public Safe

The Ontario government launched a series of education and enforcement campaigns to ensure businesses across the province are taking the necessary steps to keep employees, consumers and the public safe. These campaigns will support the current efforts of police, municipal by-law officers, and public health inspectors to educate businesses and enforce the COVID-19 health and safety requirements.

Media Release, Health Unit - Leeds Grenville COVID-19 Mobile Testing Unit

November 20, 2020

Starting November 24, 2020, COVID-19 testing provided by the Leeds Grenville Community Paramedic Outreach Program will be done indoors (no longer a drive thru model). The mobile unit is an extension of services provided by the Brockville COVID-19 Assessment Centre. Recently, the Brockville Assessment Centre changed to an online booking system that is very safe, easy and quick. Council Highlights - Nov 17, 2020

Tuesday night’s Council meeting began with a Building Permit Activity report from January 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020. The report summarized the number of permits issued (326), new dwellings (147), value of work (approx. $58.9 million) and fees collected (approx. $531 thousand) for the 3rd quarter of 2020. The number of permits issued, and new dwellings is comparable to 2018 and higher than 2017 and 2019.
