Water bills for period November 1 - December 31, 2020

Water bills for the period November 1 - December 31, 2020 have been sent by email to accounts enrolled for paperless billing and the remainder will be mailed in the next few days.  The due date is February 11, 2021.  If you have questions regarding your water account, or do not receive a bill, please contact the Tax/Water Clerk at 613-256-2064 ext 224.

Holiday Message from Mayor Lowry

2020 has been a year unlike any other and one I certainly would never want to see us repeat, but over and over again our community has shown that we truly are in this together.   I am looking forward to when we can join with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues in ways that we used to take for granted.  This holiday season will be a different one – quieter and simpler, but hopefully also one which reminds us of the many blessings we have.

Holiday Office Closure

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills Administration Building will be closed for the holidays as of noon on Thursday, December 24th, until the New Year and will re-open on Monday, January 4th, 2021 at 8:30 am.

In case of a municipal emergency, please call the Public Works emergency pager at 613-256-3167.

For your convenience, there is a mail slot located at the back door to drop-off payments and other documents.

Well water testing samples collection will resume on  Tuesday, January 5th, 2021.

Updated Ontario Covid-19 Restrictions

At a press conference this afternoon, Premier of Ontario Doug Ford announced further Covid-19 restrictions that will come into effect December 26th and will last for 28 days. Our Municipality is considered Southern Ontario for the purpose of these orders. The Municipal Emergency Control Group (MECG) met this afternoon to discuss these new regulations and their implications for our residents, business owners and staff.

A huge thank-you to everyone who went the extra mile to decorate their home or business this year. Your hard work and enthusiasm was evident! This contest was new for 2020 and came about due to all the things we had to cancel. After seeing the response, we hope this will be something we can continue.
