Applications are now officially open for the 2026 Fall Starter Company Plus program until August 20 at 4 p.m. The intake will run from September to December 2026.
From August 1 to September 4, Sivarulrasa Gallery is delighted to present MICHAEL PITTMAN: DARK LANDS AND DISTANT SHORES in Gallery I. The exhibition features a new body of work by Newfoundland-based artist Michael Pittman, inspired by his recent residency at a former military installation in Donegal, Ireland.
The Ontario government is opening nominations for the 2026 Excellence in Agriculture Awards, to recognize the outstanding efforts of the province’s agri-food leaders. These awards recognize the achievements of Ontario’s world-class farmers, processors, industry organizations and businesses that protect the province’s food independence and make Ontario’s nearly $53 billion agri-food industry a global leader in food production.
From August 1 to September 4, 2026, Sivarulrasa Gallery and Puppets Up! are delighted to present Noreen Young: Drawings & Illustrations, an exhibition of early works on paper by artist Noreen Young (b. 1939, Ottawa, Ontario; d. 2025). The exhibition complements the 2026 Puppets Up! festival, which takes place August 8-9 in Almonte, Ontario.

Two new exhibitions are coming to the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in August! Attend the vernissage for “Unfinished Journey: Memory, Identity, & Family” by Anne Kelly and “Queer Newfoundland Hockey League” by Lucas Morneau on Saturday, August 8 at 1 p.m. Both exhibitions will be on display until September 20, 2026.

John Jordan, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston, announced today that the Ontario government is providing 7 non-profit organizations and municipalities in the riding with $658,500 in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream. This investment will help improve community spaces and expand access to local programs and activities.
