Join 100+ members of BGC Ottawa’s Walk This Way for the Sean Egan Wellness Walk on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. along the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail.

On Sunday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., celebrate local artisans who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour! Hosted at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in partnership with The Inclusion Project with support from the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, the Craft & Colour Market is an opportunity to support and chat with local talent and business owners.

The Small Business Advisory Centre, serving Smiths Falls, Lanark County and northern Leeds Grenville, is pleased to announce that 10 entrepreneurs from across the region have been awarded a total of $40,000 in funding through the Starter Company Plus program. 

Almonte artist Andrew Jahn is on a mission to raise $10,000 for Lanark County Food Bank – The Hunger Stop. As of March 2026, Jahn's initiative has already raised $2,536 on behalf of The Hunger Stop! 

Each spring, people look forward to Union Hall’s Pancake Breakfast, a major fundraiser for the Union Hall, a community hub since 1857. This year, the event is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, from 8 a.m. until noon. Bring the whole family and enjoy a delicious meal while re-connecting with your friends and neighbours in the cozy atmosphere of this community gathering place.

The Mississippi Mills Poppy Project is in its third year as a collaborative community art project of remembrance, honouring Canadian Veterans who have served, and personnel currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for their service and sacrifice to our country.
