Phil Jenkins is no stranger to Learning Again in Almonte audiences and he never fails to deliver something special. Phil is not only a best selling author, performing musician and songwriter, historian and university lecture, he is also a superb raconteur. It adds up to a broad, entertaining, and accomplished speaker. This year he brings all his talents together in a multi-media lecture that will take us across the Canadian landscape, exploring the history and culture of this unique country. To do this, he will draw on material from four of his books : “Fields of Vision”, “An Acre of Time”, “RiverSong”, and “Beneath our Feet”. He will use slides to set the scene, readings to bring people and places to the forefront, and an original song reflecting each book’s narrative. This is a lecture not to be missed. How often do we get to embrace our history and culture with such an excellent storyteller who has Phil’s depth of knowledge? It is sure to be both educational and entertaining.
