The need for volunteers and donations at this time of year is greater than ever. This listing will help point you in the right direction to make your time and donations count.

Let us know if we've missed something! The list is evolving and we'd be happy to add you to it. Email info@mississippimills.ca

The incidences of gender-based violence are on the rise and the need for donations is high. Thinking outside of the box, Lanark County Interval House and Community Support (LCIHCS) has gone virtual.

It’s year 40 for the Angel Tree program in Lanark County and the surrounding area.

This year, the Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville / Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Angel Tree program is starting off with a record 1,015 angels! The “angels,” assigned to trees, represent children directly affiliated with Family and Children’s Services and related programs. The goal is to provide a Christmas gift for each child. There will also be a selection of tags as an option of purchasing a gift card for a teen or groceries for a family.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills Angel Tree tags are available for pick up in two locations:

  • Municipal office (3131 Old Perth Road)
  • Pakenham Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library (128 MacFarlane Street).

Tags are also available at Carebridge Community Support (67 Industrial Drive, Almonte).

Reminder: Gifts must be returned (preferably unwrapped, or in a gift bag) by December 8, 2025.
