Budget Spotlights 2026 #8: Corporate Services
The Corporate Services Department plays a central role in supporting the operations and governance of Mississippi Mills. It encompasses the following key areas:
- Council
- Administration, including the Office of the CAO, Clerks Department, Communications and Elections
- Facilities Management
- Finance
- Human Resources and Information Technology
Within Corporate Services, the Finance Team is responsible for a wide range of essential financial functions, including:
- Issuing and managing tax and water billings
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and expenditures
- Developing and enforcing fiscal policies
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
- Administering payroll services
- Providing cashier and front-line financial support
2026 PROPOSED CAPITAL PROJECTS – CORPORATE SERVICES
The draft 2026 Budget includes the following items for Corporate Services:
- $100,000 – Phase 2 of Municipal Space Needs Assessment
- $80,000 – 2026 Municipal Election
- $25,000 – Repairs to municipal office main entrance and security
- $20,000 – Almonte Old Town Hall auditorium air conditioner
- $10,000 – Almonte Old Town Hall painting on first and second floors
