Mississippi Mills has many organizations that host a variety of programs and classes for the community to enjoy. Be sure to check out and follow the Mississippi Mills Public Library with locations in Almonte and Pakenham as well as Carebridge Community Support as they do a variety of programming.
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills also runs a variety of Recreational Programs.

For people aged 55+
Swimming programs are available at pools in the surrounding areas of Mississippi Mills. These pools are located in Carleton Place, Arnprior and Ottawa.
If you want to cool off from the summer sun, you can check out Mississippi Mills beaches in Almonte and Pakenham. Please note these are unsupervised beaches. Also, check with the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Health Unit for water conditions before swimming.
Aquatic Reimbursement Pilot Program
To help offset the costs of these swimming programs, Mississippi Mills has launched an Aquatic Reimbursement Pilot Program. This program was designed to provide residents of Mississippi Mills with reimbursement for the difference between resident and non-resident fees charged for the use of aquatic programs in Carleton Place, Arnprior or West-Ottawa.
