As of tomorrow, September 22, 2021, the Government of Ontario requires proof of vaccination to enter certain indoor public settings. O. Reg. 645/21: RULES FOR AREAS AT STEP 3 AND AT THE ROADMAP EXIT STEP has the details.

This provincial requirement for vaccines will include access to Mississippi Mills Municipal Recreational facilities. Event Organizers can download the “Covid-19 Protocol Guidelines for Booking a Mississippi Mills Community Halls” document for more information. There are specific guidelines around use of municipal arenas. For more information contact the Mississippi Mills Recreation and Culture Department at 613-256-1077.

Access to the Mississippi Mills Municipal Office and the Mississippi Mills Public Library branches do not currently require proof of vaccines.

As Ontarians you can download your COVID-19 vaccine receipt from here or call the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900 to obtain a copy.

The province is developing an enhanced vaccine certificate with a unique QR code to make it safer, more secure, and convenient to show that you have been vaccinated, when required to do so. The enhanced vaccine certificate and verification app will be available by October 22, 2021. Ontario’s proof of vaccination guidance will be updated to reflect the new processes.

See the Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination in Indoor Public Settings menu on the Leeds Grenville and Lanark Public Health Unit’s COVID-19 Protection & Vaccines webpage for more information.
