You may have seen some construction signs popping-up around Almonte. Final preparations are being made for the Downtown Revitalization project that is schedule to begin this spring.  Construction will begin in April and continue until late summer 2023.

The Municipality has established communication channels with business and property owners in the affected area.  Municipal staff and project contractors have been in touch with updates. Property and business owners have also been provided with contact information for questions that may come up as the project advances.

This week property owners were provided with advance notice of some work being completed by Enbridge Gas - effecting the upper portion of Mill St. This work will begin on April 11th. The upper portion of Mill Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for approximately three weeks while  Enbridge's work is completed.

Please remember businesses will be open throughout the entire construction period. It's important that we all continue to show our support. Parking is always available within a short walk. Business owners have been enthusiastic about the impending upgrades but we all recognize this disruption will create a challenge. Lets show them we care by intentionally shopping and dining in downtown Almonte throughout the construction. The transformation may even be fun to watch.

To keep Mississippi Mills residents  informed on the project the Municipality will be maintaining a project web page with information including parking maps, schedule, drawings etc.
