Mill Street Books, along with the Friends of the Mississippi Mills Public Library, are delighted to welcome Tim Cook to the Almonte Old Town Hall on January 22 at 2pm.

Tim is Chief Historian and Director of Research at the Canadian War Museum. He has won multiple awards, is a frequent commentator in the media, and is a member of both the Royal Society of Canada and the Order of Canada.

His book Lifesavers and Body Snatchersis a definitive medical history of the Great War, illuminating how the carnage of modern battle gave birth to revolutionary life-saving innovations. It brings to light shocking revelations of how the brutality of combat and the necessity for agonizing battlefield decisions led to unimaginable strain for men and women of medicine who fought to save the lives of soldiers.
