2022 Mississippi Mills Municipal Elections – Nominations Open

Nominations for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillors and School Board Trustees run until August 19th. 

The 2022 Mississippi Mills Municipal Elections are being held this October. Qualifying individuals can run for:

  • Mayor
  • Deputy Mayor
  • Councillor for Almonte Ward (2 positions)
  • Councillor for Pakenham Ward
  • Councillor for Ramsay Ward (2 positions)
  • School Board Trustees for French and English public and separate boards

Council positions are held for a four year period beginning in November 2022. To run in the election, you must complete and submit a nomination package. Nomination packages can be obtained by appointment at the Municipal office at 3131 Old Perth Rd. Email elections@mississippimills.ca to schedule an appointment. 

To qualify to run for Council, you must be a resident, owner or tenant of property in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills; a Canadian citizen; over 18 years of age; and are not prohibited by law or employment to be a member of Council.
