Press Release – Salvation Army Mississippi-Rideau Lakes Corps

The Salvation Army Mississippi-Rideau Lakes Corps launched its Kettle Campaign for the 2023 season on November 17.

The monies raised through the kettles help stock our food bank for the entire year, aid fire victims, provide hydro assistance, clothing, furniture, weekly lunches and so much more. We also send 35 children to camp each year and provide families throughout our entire region with Christmas gift cards (in lieu of hampers) and toys for children through our Angel Tree Program.

The Mayors/Reeves Challenge takes place Saturday, December 16, where council members from Lanark, Leeds and Grenville will ring the bells at kettles in an attempt to raise the most funds for the local Salvation Army.

I have also enclosed a kettle flyer for your area.  If you could please put it on your public bulletin board that would be greatly appreciated.  We are hoping that you and your council will be able to participate again this year.

To book a time to volunteer at a Salvation Army kettle in the area, contact kettle coordinator Carolyn Klickermann at cklickermann@hotmail.com.
