The subject property is zoned Rural (RU). As a result of an application for consent to sever a lot, a new lot line is proposed within 0.81 metres of the existing garage. The applicant is seeking relief to permit a 0.81-metre interior side lot line setback for the garage, whereas the minimum interior side lot line setback is 6 metres in the Rural zone. It is noted that the applicant has indicated an incorrect setback of 0.18 metres, instead of the requested 0.81 metres, on the application form.
