March Break Movie Afternoon

Presenting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem!

Monday, 11 March, 1pm (film is 99min long). Almonte Branch

FREE program and free popcorn! No registration, but room capacity is 30 people. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

About the movie: After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their new friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Rated PG, this version is particularly tween-friendly, with little iffy content besides infrequent language and cartoon action violence.

Who Killed the Curator?

The Friends of MMPL present a performance of the one-act play, Who Killed the Curator? written by Almonte author, Kathleen Reichelt. The play features five well-known local actors and is a fundraiser for the library – thank you, all!

This comedy will transport the audience back to vintage, staged radio plays. Characters writ large, snappy dialogue, and a murder, are the key elements that have made this comedy an award winner many times over.

Ms. Reichelt has written and produced more than two dozen plays since 1995. She has received funding, awards, and accolades for her work. Reichelt is also the founder of Garage Theatre in Toronto and runs a gallery there. Writing, performance and visual art have defined her artistic career.

You have only one chance to catch this unique show in Almonte. Seating is limited and tickets are $20 available online only at www.ticketsplease.ca
