In Memory of Orm Giles

It is with sadness we have learned of the passing of Orm Giles, elder statesman and respected gentleman. 

Orm’s commitment to his community and to its residents was unmatched. He was an elected official for the Town of Carleton Place for well over 30 years and was also Lanark County’s Warden in 1995.  His volunteerism and community service spanned seven decades and is an incredible example of dedication to public service. 

On behalf of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, I extend my sincere condolences to Orm's family, friends and to all our neighbours in the Town of Carleton Place during this solemn time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
