Please be advised that as per Open Air Fire By-law 17-35, holders of valid fire permits may not burn brush, drum and windrow fires between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. from April 1st to October 31st, 2022. This type of burning is limited to the evening during this time of the year because temperatures traditionally get a little cooler and humidity rises at night. Vegetation soaks up some of that moisture, making it a less volatile fuel for wildfires.
Please check our website or call 613-706-4004 before burning to ensure there is no burn ban in place. Permits may be obtained free of charge online at mm.burnpermits.com or at the Municipal Office (3131 Old Perth Rd.).
