Do you have some unwanted items taking up valuable space? Now is the time to declutter your home!

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills’ annual Exchange Day is just around the corner, taking place May 3-5, 2024. This is an opportunity for residents to place unwanted items at the curb or hunt for some new treasures!

Items can be placed at the curb or end of your driveway on Friday, May 3 but if not taken, they must be brought back in on Sunday, May 5.

Some tips if participating in the annual Exchange Day:

  • For larger items or those of safety concern, a curb side sign may be more appropriate.

  • Please include a sign with your items indicating "free." This way, people know you're participating in Exchange Day, and know that your item is free to take!

  • Please ensure that no items you do not wish to give away are left near the road.

  • Disposal of items not taken is the responsibility of the resident – Mississippi Mills will NOT be picking the items up on collection day.

  • Please be aware of children's safety. Do not place any items out that might have potential danger (i.e. refrigerators/freezers with doors). Mississippi Mills assumes no responsibility or liability regarding these items.
