A group of people stand together holding two large cheques

Press Release – Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation

Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day – Our love for the Almonte Lions Club!

Several of their members dropped by the Hospital with donations totaling $15,000. They also pledged another $5,000 towards the remaining costs of the CT scanner.

The Almonte Lions raise funds in a variety of ways including the sale of Gladiolas, the annual Duck Race and the Bridge Toll collection. Their support doesn’t stop with the Hospital and Manor, they also support the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) with eye glass collections, provide Christmas Food Hampers and give out scholarships to high school students too.

Three people stand together. The person on the right and left are holding small cheques.

Not including these donations, the Lions have contributed more than $124,000 to the AGH FVM Foundation in support of patient and resident care in the past 23 years.

Thanks to Bob Bassett, Pauline Nolan, Melanie Texeira, Dave Keehner and Tammy Lowry for representing your members and sharing the love with our patients and residents.
