MEDIA RELEASE: Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Region Moved to Yellow - Protect Level

Today the government of Ontario announced that the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark region will move from the Green–Prevent level to the Yellow – Protect level of the Keeping Ontario Safe and Open COVID-19 Framework. The sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in LGL over the past two weeks means that the region meets the criteria for the Yellow – Protect level, with a weekly incidence rate between 10 and 24.9 cases per 100,000.

Every day, paramedics with the Lanark County Paramedic Service (LCPS) care for our community. This Holiday Season, they will do so in a different way. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there has been an increase in demand for the food bank. On December 12th and 13th throughout Lanark County, paramedics will hold their annual “Fill an Ambulance with Food” drive in Almonte, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, and Perth .

Last year 110 boxes of food were collected, totaling close to 6,000...

The Almonte COVID-19 Assessment Centre is hosting two satellite COVID-19 Testing Clinics at the Carleton Place Arena. The Clinics will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 11 and Friday, December 18, 2020.


Pre-booked appointments are required. There are no walk-in appointments.


To schedule an appointment, please call 613-325-1208 and leave a message. Messages are retrieved daily between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm. You will receive a call back from an unknown/private number.

Christmas Re-Imagined in Mississippi Mills started off with a great weekend! Santa spent the whole weekend in Mississippi Mills, accompanied by the Mississippi Mills Fire Department on five different routes throughout the municipality. 

Thank you to everyone who made donations to the Lanark County Food Bank while coming out to see Santa.  I can confirm that total donations collected from residents this weekend are 4004 pounds of food and $3255 in cash donations!  I’d also like to thank residents...
