The O.P.P. and Lanark County Family and Child Services Angel Tree Program

The Angel Tree program in Lanark County is celebrating 35 years. It continues to be a success, thanks to the generosity and Christmas spirit in Lanark County and the surrounding area. This year, the Lanark County Family and Child Services and the OPP Angel Tree program are starting off with 600 angels.

The “angels,” assigned to trees, represent children directly affiliated with the Lanark County Family and Child Services or other affiliated programs. The goal is to provide a Christmas gift to each child.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has Angel tags available for pick up in two locations at the Municipal office (3131 Old Perth Rd.) as well as the Pakenham Library Branch on (MacFarland St.). Gifts must be returned (preferably unwrapped, or in a gift bag) before Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

If you would like to call in advance to confirm tags are available or to reserve an angel, please call 613-256-2064 for the Municipal Office or 613-624-5306 for the Pakenham Library.
