Work on Five Span Bridge Not Likely to Begin This Week

The contractor on the Five Span Bridge rehabilitation project in Pakenham, KB Civil Constructors Inc. has advised the County that closures to facilitate work are not likely to begin this week (week of July 28).

The bridge will remain open from July 28 to August 1.

Road closures

When closures begin, they will be taking place until work is completed in October as follows:

  • Monday – Thursday: Half-hour before sunrise to half-hour before sunset
  • Friday: Half-hour before sunrise to noon
  • The bridge will remain open overnight and on weekends and holidays

Detour information

A signed detour route will be in effect during the daily closures. Digital message board signs will be in place to notify the public of when closures are in effect.

The planned detour route is to use Galetta Side Road, Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Kinburn Side Road.
