Winner announced for the Mississippi Mills Merry Makers Holiday Card Contest - December 22, 2025

Congratulations to Levi, the winner of this year's Mississippi Mills Merry Makers Holiday Card Contest!

Levi, age 9, is in Grade 5 at Naismith Memorial Public School. His beautiful drawing of the downtown Almonte streetscape took Mayor Lowry's breath away! Levi's streetscape captured everything that makes Mississippi Mills so vibrant and welcoming, including the Christmas decorations, street lighting, and the beloved Dr. James Naismith statue.

Levi was recognized for his artwork during his visit to the Municipal Office with his mother, where Mayor Lowry also gave the two a tour of the Council chambers and an opportunity to interact with the Chain of Office. 

The contest ran between November 14 and December 2, receiving a total of 34 submissions from a variety of age groups between Kindergarten and Grade 6. All submissions can be viewed by visiting the official contest page. 

Levi's design is now featured as the Municipality of Mississippi Mills’ official 2025 Holiday Card and has been shared on the Municipality's and Mayor Lowry's social media channels, as well as the municipal website for the whole community to see.
