Still Time to Support Home Hospice North Lanark’s Annual Tree Fundraiser

From Home Hospice North Lanark
Home Hospice North Lanark (HHNL) has proudly supported and served the communities of North Lanark since 2012. Since 2015, our Annual Tree Campaign has been a cornerstone fundraiser—resulting in thousands of trees planted across the region over the past decade.
From Carleton Place to Almonte, and as far as Westport and Fitzroy Harbour, these trees have brought beauty, shade, and nourishment to local gardens and properties, while supporting compassionate hospice care close to home.
Fruit trees symbolize care and hope and are often planted to mark new beginnings. Through this year’s Tree Fundraiser, HHNL is pleased to offer a wonderful selection of fruit and shade trees that provide both lasting meaning and environmental benefit.
Fruit Trees Available
- Newport Plum
- Crabapple (2 varieties): Dolgo, Profusion
- Pear (3 eating varieties): Golden Spice, Flemish Beauty, Early Gold
- Apple (3 varieties): Ambrosia, Honeycrisp, Royal Gala
These trees feature beautiful spring blossoms and produce edible fruit in the fall, making them a meaningful and lasting addition to any yard.
Shade Trees Available (Ideal for Smaller Lots)
- Armstrong Maple
- Birch
- Red Oak
- Skybound Mountain Ash
Thanks to the generous support of Reid Gardens in Carleton Place, each tree or shrub purchased includes a complimentary 30-litre bag of 3-Way Planting Mix and a packet of Root Rescue (mycorrhizae), helping ensure healthy growth from day one.
All trees are locally sourced from a trusted commercial nursery, where they are carefully shaped and root-pruned to promote strong, healthy development. Trees are delivered fresh each spring and prepared with optimal moisture for a smooth transition into home landscapes.
Pick-Up Details
Trees and shrubs will be available for pick-up in April 2026 at Reid Gardens, 140 Pick Road, Carleton Place (next to the garden centre).
Orders can be placed now at: https://trees.hhnl.ca/
Proceeds from the Tree Fundraiser directly support Home Hospice North Lanark’s programs and services, helping individuals and families receive compassionate care when they need it most.
Thank you for supporting our community and this meaningful greening initiative.
