Special Weather Statement – January 9, 2026

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for strong winds expected late this afternoon and into the evening.

Strong winds with gusts of 70-90 km/h are expected. Winds will strengthen and suddenly shift to the west late this afternoon or early this evening as a cold front passes, with a brief gust to 90 km/h possible. Winds will ease this evening.

Local power outages are possible. Secure loose objects.
