New Enhanced Recycling Program for Mississippi Mills – January 1, 2026

Starting January 1, 2026, an enhanced recycling system is coming to Mississippi Mills!

Ontario is transitioning to an enhanced recycling system managed by Circular Materials, the administrator of the common collection system. Circular Materials is a not-for-profit organization committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system.

What does this mean for residents?

• No changes to the current recycling schedule.
• You’ll be able to recycle the same materials, no matter where you live.
• You’ll also be able to recycle more than ever before, including black plastic containers, hot and cold beverage cups, deodorant, toothpaste tubes, frozen juice containers, ice cream tubs and more.
• Recycling questions and missed collection inquiries will go to new contractor (information to come soon).
