Municipal Water Restrictions Extended Due to Drought Status
Due to the ongoing Level 3 drought in the Mississippi watershed, the Municipality has extended water usage restrictions related to water conservation—originally set to end today—until the drought status is lifted.
These restrictions apply to all properties within Almonte Ward. We recognize the inconvenience this may cause, however, responsible water stewardship is more critical than ever.
Outdoor Watering Schedule
- Odd-numbered addresses: Water only on odd calendar days between 5–9 am and 7–11 pm
- Even-numbered addresses: Water only on even calendar days between 5–9 am and 7–11 pm
While the aquifer supplying our municipal wells remains at normal levels for this time of year, all residents including those in rural areas are urged to reduce water consumption by 50% to support regional conservation efforts.
Private well users: Even if you're not connected to the municipal water system, we encourage you to follow conservation practices to help protect our shared resources.
