Lindsay Jones Appointed AMO Executive Director

Message from Robin Jones, AMO President

On behalf of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Jones as AMO’s Executive Director effective September 1, 2025.

For the past three years, Lindsay has served AMO as Director of Policy and Government Relations, leading key policy initiatives including AMO’s work on homelessness, growth, and infrastructure investment, tariffs and trade disruptions, and municipal-Indigenous relations.

Lindsay brings 23 years of public policy, program management and executive leadership experience, including in both the provincial and federal governments, and a record of constructive influence and consensus building.

Over the past three years, Lindsay has engaged with AMO’s members, key government contacts, municipal political and professional associations, and AMO’s partners and allies to advance the interests of AMO and its members in every part of Ontario.

Lindsay will assume the role from Brian Rosborough, who will retire on August 31, 2025, after six years in the role of AMO Executive Director, culminating a distinguished, 34-year career advancing good public policy in Ontario.

Lindsay also becomes President of Local Authority Services (LAS) and the Municipal Employer Pension Center of Ontario (MEPCO).

As a membership organization at the forefront of public policy advocacy in Ontario, AMO is ideally situated for an effective transition in executive leadership and continued success leading and supporting Ontario’s strong and unified municipal sector.
