Lanark County Honours Long-Serving Employees at 2025 Service Awards

Lanark County celebrated the dedication and achievements of its staff during the annual Service Awards ceremony held on Wednesday, June 4. The event recognized employees reaching key milestones in their careers, highlighting decades of public service and commitment to the community.
CAO Kurt Greaves offered heartfelt words of appreciation at the event. “It is a tremendous honour to be here to recognize your dedication to public service. I want to thank each and every one of you for your contributions to Lanark County.”
Among those recognized were five employees who reached the impressive 30-year milestone:
- Carole Wright, Food Services Aide, Lanark Lodge
- Sherrie Wheeler, Housekeeping Support Services Aide, Lanark Lodge
- Tim Millar, Operations Supervisor, Public Works
- Tracey Morris-McNeely, Caseworker 2, Social Services
- Karen Tysick, Cook, Lanark Lodge
A special recognition was made to Carol Davidson, who was honoured for her 46 years of service as a Registered Nurse at Lanark Lodge. Her dedication and compassion have left a lasting impact on residents and staff alike, inspiring future generations of nurses.
All Lanark County departments are represented at the service awards, including Lanark Lodge, Public Works, Social Services and Corporate Services — each playing a vital role in delivering essential services to residents across the region. The Service Awards remain a meaningful tradition that reinforces the county’s commitment to recognizing experience, dedication and the people who make it all happen.
