Five Span Bridge Update – Next Closures Planned for September 22 and 24

Lanark County has advised that the next bridge closure for the Five Span Bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled for the morning of Monday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 24.

REMINDER: The bridge may be closed periodically until October 2025 as needed to facilitate work. Watch for updates on advanced digital signage and on Lanark County's social media for future planned closure dates.

If the bridge is closed during construction, it will only be closed within the following schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: Half-hour before sunrise to half-hour before sunset
  • Friday: Half-hour before sunrise to noon
  • Bridge will remain open overnight and weekends/holidays

Planned detour route during closures: Galetta Side Road, Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Kinburn Side Road
