Five Span Bridge Update – Next Closure Planned for September 2

Lanark County has advised that the next bridge closure for the Five Span Bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, September 2.

REMINDER: The bridge may be closed periodically until October 2025 as needed to facilitate work. Watch for updates on advanced digital signage and Lanark County’s social media for future planned closure dates.

 If the bridge is closed during construction, it will only be closed within the following schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: Half-hour before sunrise to half-hour before sunset
• Friday: Half-hour before sunrise to noon

The bridge will remain open overnight and on weekends/holidays. 

Planned detour route during closures: Galetta Side Road, Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Kinburn Side Road.
