$2 Paper Billing Fee for Water and Tax Bills

Paper water bills will have a $2 fee starting in March 2026.

This $2 fee also applies to property tax bills, beginning in June 2026.

This fee helps cover the real costs of printing and mailing paper bills, such as paper, envelopes, and postage. It also cuts down on paper use, improves service, and is more reliable during mail disruptions.

Those who sign up for e-billing will not be charged the $2 fee.

Family Day Office Closures – February 16, 2026

The following municipal offices will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Family Day:

  • Mississippi Mills Municipal Office
  • Roads and Public Works Garage
  • Building, Planning and Recreation and Culture Departments at Almonte Old Town Hall

There will be no impacts to the garbage and recycling schedule due to the holiday closure.

Payments and documents may be dropped off in the secure mail slot located to the left of the municipal office doors at 3131 Old Perth Road.

For municipal emergencies, please contact the Roads and Public Works emergency pager at 613-284-1425.

Our offices will re-open on Tuesday, February 17 at 8:30 a.m.
