Enhanced Recycling Program Update – January 5, 2026

The Municipality has transitioned to a new enhanced recycling program where residents can recycle more materials than ever before.

Collection days remain the same but the schedule for materials is changing.

To support residents during the transition, during the weeks of January 4–10 and January 11–17, both recycling streams—paper/fibre and containers—may be placed at the curb for collection. Following this transition period, the Circular Materials collection schedule will take effect.

Reminder:

Since July 2023, recycling is no longer run by the Municipality. It’s now managed by Circular Materials under Ontario’s extended producer responsibility model—meaning producers are responsible for recycling the packaging and paper they create.
