The "Cashing in on Cycle Tourism 2.0" on Friday, October 17 is gearing up to be a great one-day conference.
Our speakers include:
- Brendan Matheson, Outdoor Experience Manager for Simcoe County Tourism, focusing on the growth and business partnerships of the 160km Simcoe Loop.
- Louisa Mursell, Executive Director of Ontario by Bike, who will discuss the trends in Cycle Tourism.
- Local success stories such as the partnership between Bonnechere Cycling Group and the Rio Tap and Grill in Eganville as well as Cartwright Springs and Log Drivers Waltz.
- With more to be announced
Registration is rolling along. We already have many business owners, tourism regional tourism representatives, local regional officials and interested cyclists from Renfrew, Lanark and Frontenac Counties.
Let's get the right people in a room to help make our region a premier cycling destination in Ontario. An important part of the day will be the breakout sessions, designed to create an environment where everyone can share their experiences and learn from each other.
The event will take place at Almonte Old Town Hall on Friday October 17. It will kick off at 9:30 a.m. and wrap up at 3 p.m.
