Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day – September 29, 2025
Today, we observe Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day – a time to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have given their lives in the line of duty.
Since 1998, the Government of Canada has recognized the last Sunday in September as a national day of remembrance for police and peace officers across the country.
To mark this occasion, flags at all municipal locations will be lowered to half-mast on Sunday, September 29 to express appreciation for the dedication of those who serve and protect our communities and pays tribute to the fallen heroes who will never be forgotten.
