Sometimes it only takes a small spark to help someone feel connected again.

The Mississippi Mills Community Fund is launching the Little Spark, Big Difference (2026 Pilot) — supporting small, high-impact mental wellness projects in our community.

Grant details:

  • Four grants available
  • $2,500 per project
  • Apply by March 22, 2026
  • Projects delivered May–December 2026

We’re looking for initiatives that respond to quiet challenges like:

  • Loneliness or social isolation
  • Stress, anxiety, or caregiver burnout
  • Youth feeling disconnected
  • Loss of purpose
  • Barriers to accessing wellness supports

If you’re a local charity or, someone who is interested to partner with a local charity, with an idea to bring people together and build hope, we want to hear from you.

About the Mississippi Mills Community Fund

The Mississippi Mills Community Fund (MMCF) is a locally guided endowment that supports charitable activities and programs in Mississippi Mills now and for generations to come. Donations are invested through the Ottawa Community Foundation, and a portion of the annual investment return is granted out each year to local charities and community projects. This permanent fund model preserves capital while steadily growing the fund's capacity to respond to evolving community needs.
