2025 Holiday Waste and Recycling Collection Changes

The holidays will bring some changes to the waste and recycling collection schedule in Mississippi Mills.

Collection on Christmas Day, Thursday December 25 will shift to Friday, December 26. Friday collection will shift to Saturday, December 27.

Collection on New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1) will shift to Friday, January 2. Friday collection will shift to Saturday, January 3.

Reminder: A second container may be placed curbside without a bag tag affixed to it, during collections taking place the week immediately following Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Recycling program changes January 1

Get ready for an enhanced recycling program, starting January 1.

Here’s what’s changing:

• New contractor – Miller Waste. Their contact information will be posted soon.
• Residents will be able to recycle more materials than ever before, including black plastic containers, hot and cold beverage cups, deodorant containers, toothpaste tubes, frozen juice containers, ice cream tubs and more
