The Municipality of Mississippi Mills is reminding small industrial, commercial and institutional (IC&I) businesses that changes are coming to their municipal recycling services.

Please note: These changes are only applicable to small businesses/IC&I users who currently receive municipal recycling collection.

As part of Ontario’s transition to a producer responsibility recycling system, curbside recycling collection for small IC&I properties is no longer be provided through the provincial recycling program. Following a review of available options and under the direction of Council, the Municipality is proceeding with a phased discontinuation of municipal curbside recycling services for eligible small IC&I users.

Municipal recycling collection for affected properties will continue until December 31, 2026, after which the service will end.
