Road Closure Notice - Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival - August 8 and 9, 2026

The Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival returns to Downtown Almonte Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Due to the festival, please be advised of the following road closures:

Mill Street and Little Bridge Street (full closure) – Saturday, August 8 (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday, August 9 (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Detours are Bridge Street and Main Street. Residents of Thoburn Mill and those with parking in the area will have access.

In addition, the intersection of Bridge Street and Mill Street intersection will be closed briefly (approximately 45 minutes from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) on both Saturday and Sunday to allow the festival parade to cross. The parade will travel down Mill Street.

Signage and barricades will be in place.
