The Municipality of Mississippi Mills will be undertaking sidewalk and intersection improvements on Paterson Street beginning Tuesday, August 4.

The work will take place on Paterson Street, between Ottawa Street and Tatra Street, and is being completed by GOA Paving. Planned improvements include:

Installation of raised crosswalks
Construction of a raised intersection at Tatra Street
Installation of a raised pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Paterson Street and Tatra Street
Storm sewer improvements
Sidewalk extension works

Residents directly affected by the project will receive notices. Temporary construction and traffic signage will also be placed near the work zones.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.

Traffic impacts

Motorists can expect temporary traffic disruptions during construction. A detour will be in place during paving operations to safely redirect traffic around the work zone.

Please follow all posted signs, reduce your speed and use caution when travelling through the area.
