Nominations Open for 2026 Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Asset Builders

Press Release – Every Kid in our Communities

Every Kid in our Communities of Leeds & Grenville and Lanark County Child & Youth Services Collaborative are excited to invite the community to help recognize and celebrate those making a positive impact in the lives of children and youth.

Nominations are now open for individuals, organizations and businesses that are actively building assets and empowering young people across Leeds, Grenville and Lanark. These asset builders will be recognized at upcoming community events and through local media.

Who should I nominate?

We encourage nominations of individuals, businesses and organizations who:

• Show interest and invest time in children and youth
• Inspire children and youth
• Provide support to children and youth
• Give children and youth a voice
• Introduce children and youth to new ideas and new experiences
• Advocate for children and youth

“We are so fortunate to live in a community where many organizations and individuals influence the lives of young people in a positive way,” said Jane Hess, Coordinator of Every Kid in our Communities of Leeds & Grenville. “This recognition is a way to shine a light on those who help our children and youth thrive.”

What is the deadline for submission?

The deadline for submission is Friday, May 15, 2026. Please complete the submission form and send it to Amanda Fenlong at afenlong@bdaci.com.

How will asset builders be selected?

The Developmental Assets work group will review all nominations. Organizations, businesses or people who meet the criteria of an asset builder will be selected and recognized at a local ceremony.

How will asset builders be recognized?

Asset builders will be invited to attend a ceremony in Lanark County in either Leeds and Grenville or Lanark County where they will be awarded a certificate and also recognized through the media.

Lanark County: Asset builders will be recognized on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 during the Lanark County Council meeting.
