Next Mississippi Mills Community Organization Networking Lunch – November 5, 2026

Volunteers are the heart of our community organizations. From organizing events and fundraising to serving on boards and supporting programs, volunteers make an incredible impact throughout Mississippi Mills.

Join us for our next Community Organization Networking Lunch as we explore the opportunities and challenges of volunteer engagement. It takes place on Thursday, November 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the John Levi Community Centre (upper hall). Cost to attend is $15. Cash and debit will be accepted at the door (cash is preferred to keep things moving). Receipts will be provided.

This month's discussion will focus on volunteer recruitment, retention, recognition, and succession planning. Through conversation, shared experiences, and practical ideas, we'll learn from one another and explore ways to strengthen volunteer involvement across our organizations.

Whether your organization relies on a strong volunteer base, is struggling to recruit and retain volunteers, or doesn't currently use volunteers but would like to explore how volunteers could support your mission, this conversation is for you. Join fellow community organizations to share experiences, discuss challenges and opportunities, and discover new approaches to engaging volunteers in meaningful ways.
