50 Years of Childcare Excellence
The rain held off and our childcare centre under our new name of Mississippi Mills Childcare Services celebrated 50 years of Childcare excellence on Sept 17th at Gemmill Park in Almonte.
Children of all ages enjoyed participating in games, bouncy castle, having their face painted (thanks Kate) and listening to Doug Barr, children’s entertainer from Perth. He was certainly a hit and had children dancing to his lively music.
Thank to all that attended and to our organizing committee, the great group of student volunteers, staff and the Almonte Civitan for working the amazing grill. We also thank Patrice’s Independent and Quattrocchi’s for their generous donation to this event.
Over the past 50 years, Childcare in Ontario has gone through significant changes.
With the past and continued support of the Municipality, Ministry of Education, Connectwell, Lanark County and our wonderful educators, cooks and cleaners, Mississippi Mills Childcare Services we will continue to offer excellence for many more years to come.
“It takes a village to raise a child.” This is certainly reflective in our case.
