From the Office of the Mayor – In Memory of Ronald Robertson

It is with sadness that I share that former Reeve of Ramsay Township Ron Robertson has passed away at the age of 97.

Mr. Robertson served as Reeve of Ramsay Township from 1977 to 1979 and as councillor from 1971 to 1974. He is remembered for his dedication to agriculture, his community service, and his deep pride in his Ramsay roots.

Born and raised on the family farm in Ramsay, Mr. Robertson lived his life along the Mississippi River. Through his years in municipal government, his contributions to agriculture, and his involvement in community life, he was respected as a hard worker and a proud ambassador for rural Mississippi Mills.

As a former member of Council, flags at all municipal buildings are lowered in Mr. Robertson's honour. Please keep his sons Dale, Keith, and Brent, and the entire family in your thoughts during this solemn time.
