Carss Street Watermain Reconstruction Begins July 7

The Municipality will begin work on the Carss Street watermain reconstruction project on July 7.

Work is to be done by W.H. MacSweyn Inc., and involves a full reconstruction of Carss Street, from Union Street North to Mitcheson Street. It includes:

• Installing a new watermain
• Realigning sanitary sewer infrastructure in the Carss/Mitcheson intersection

Residents within the affected area have been notified that access to the street may be temporarily impacted. Short-term traffic delays or detours may occur during construction work.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
