Construction of two outdoor beach volleyball courts at Gemmill Park on Monday, June 15.

The courts will be located behind the outfield of the Gemmill Park ball diamond and will provide a new recreational space for residents and visitors to enjoy. They are planned to be ready for use by Canada Day.

Council approved this project during the 2026 budget deliberations. Thanks to the generous support of two local businesses – Sport Systems Canada and Jack O’Trades General Contracting – the project is now moving ahead. The Municipality extends its appreciation for their contributions, which have been essential in bringing this initiative to life.

These new courts will be a great addition to Gemmill Park and will enhance programming for our Youth Summer Sports Camp.
