Almonte Tennis Court Rehabilitation Project Begins August 31

The Municipality will begin rehabilitation work on the Almonte Tennis Courts in Gemmill Park on Monday, August 31.
Following Council approval in June, Strathmar Trenching Ltd. was awarded the contract for the project, valued at $516,286.11 project in June. The Almonte Tennis Club is contributing 20% of the project cost through its ongoing partnership with the Municipality.
The rehabilitation project will include:
- New court paving
- New court surfacing
- Lighting upgrades
- Electrical system improvements
To allow construction to proceed safely and efficiently, the tennis courts will be closed to the public for the remainder of the season beginning August 31. No other impacts to park users are anticipated during the project.
These upgrades will provide a modern, high-quality facility for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come. We look forward to welcoming the public back to the rejuvenated courts in 2027.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as this important community improvement project gets underway.
