Watermain Leak Repair – Johanna and Spring Streets – June 23, 2025

Night 1 of the leak detection program in Almonte Ward has identified a watermain leak at the corner of Spring Street and Johanna Street.

Roads and Public Works staff are currently on site, preparing to repair the watermain. These works require water to be shut off to homes in that area today (June 23). Those users who will have their water service impacted will be notified directly.

The portion of Johanna Street highlighted in the image will be closed to local traffic only.

The repair is expected to be completed by 5 p.m.

Those residents who require access to water can fill up water jugs at the John Levi Community Centre (182 Bridge Street) during opening hours until 3:30 p.m. 

An update on the leak detection program will be provided later today.
