Reduced Load Restrictions on Municipal Roads Take Effect March 2, 2026

Reduced load restrictions of five tonnes per axle will be in force on all municipal roads effective Monday, March 2, 2026, until further notice.

The following exemptions apply, which are roads maintained by Lanark County:

  • County Road 16 (Wolf Grove Road)
  • County Road 16A (Bridge Street, Martin Street South, Perth Street and Queen Street)
  • County Road 29

The reduced load period is put in place to protect municipal roads susceptible to damage during the spring thaw. 

The restriction will be lifted once the chance of road damage has passed.
